Our inpatient services include: Radiation therapy, Oncology Dietician, Pain Management, Clinical Research, Rehabilitation and Support Services. Highly skilled professionals in the Radiation Oncology Department draw on some of the most sophisticated tools use today in the war against cancer. They include intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), a world-class treatment that allows for precise radiation of tumor cells at higher doses without harming surrounding healthy tissue. IMRT has proven effective in the management of tumors previously deemed untreatable.

Cyberknife at St Lucie Medical Center - Cancer Treatment you can live with!
CyberKnife is an advanced robotic device a team of surgeons and radiation oncologists uses to treat many forms of cancer anywhere in the body in addition to treating several other conditions. This device uses CAT scan and MRI images along with state-of-the-art computer technology to plan and treat these various conditions. It administers therapeutic radiation beams with sub-millimeter accuracy using an x-ray guidance system that tracks patient and tumor movement. This allows tumors to be treated in any location of the body without placing an immobilizing frame on the patient.
